Starling Bank

What it does today​

Frihet stores your Starling Bank credentials and checks the connection (GET /api/v2/accounts). It does not read data from Starling Bank.

Connect​

  1. Go to Integrations.
  2. Search for Starling Bank and click Connect.
  3. Enter the credentials the form asks for (accessToken).
  4. Click Test connection: Frihet runs GET /api/v2/accounts against the provider.
  5. Click Save connection.

What data Frihet reads​

None.

Security​

  • Credentials stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM): accessToken.
  • Requests to the provider leave from Frihet servers, restricted to these hosts and operations. Hosts: api.starlingbank.com. Operations: GET /api/v2/accounts.
  • Any other operation is refused before it reaches the provider.

Limitations​

  • This page documents which operations Frihet allows; it does not say how often they run.

Alternatives​

You can load into Frihet the data you obtain from Starling Bank through the Frihet REST API or the MCP server.
