Use Cases
Freelancer who needs to save receipts
You receive paper receipts and photograph them with your mobile phone, uploading them automatically to Dropbox. From Frihet, you link each receipt photo to the corresponding expense. When your accountant asks for supporting documents, they have them all accessible from Frihet.
Agency with per-client documentation
You manage contracts, briefings, and deliverables in Dropbox for each client. You can link these documents to the client's profile in Frihet, having a complete view: issued invoices + project documentation, all from a single place.
Freelancer with automatic backup
You generate invoices in Frihet and want to have an organized backup. With automatic backup, each PDF invoice is saved in Dropbox under a folder structure by year and month. If you ever need to search for an old invoice, you'll find it in both Frihet and Dropbox.
Troubleshooting
Authorization error
- The Dropbox session may expire — reconnect from Settings → Integrations → Dropbox → Reconnect
- Verify that you have not revoked Frihet's permissions from Dropbox's security settings
- If you changed your Dropbox password, you need to re-authorize the connection
PDFs are not saved in Dropbox
- Verify that automatic backup is activated in the integration settings
- Check that the destination folder exists and has not been deleted or moved in Dropbox
- If your Dropbox account is full, files will not be uploaded — free up space or upgrade your plan
Cannot attach files
- Ensure that the file does not exceed the size limit (50 MB per file)
- Verify that the file format is compatible (PDF, JPG, PNG, XLSX, DOCX)
- Check that the connection with Dropbox is still active in Settings
Folders are not created automatically
- The automatic structure is only created when a new PDF is generated — empty folders are not created
- If the base folder was deleted in Dropbox, Frihet will recreate it in the next synchronization
