Advanced collections — Late fees

Manage complex collections: late fees with automatic calculation, and online payment from the payment link or the invoice portal.

Overview​

Frihet offers two tools to reduce late payments:

Late fees: Calculates the amount to claim according to the configured method (annual percentage, fixed amount or legal interest rate), grace period, compound interest (daily or monthly) and maximum cap. It is applied manually from the overdue invoice (Apply late fee).

Online payment: Sent invoices that have not yet fallen due can be shared with a Payment link (Pro plan or higher and Stripe connected). Automatic reminders include the link to the invoice portal, where the client can pay under the same conditions. See Payment link.

Frihet does not split a single payment across several invoices; see Multi-invoice payment.

Quick start​

  1. Late fee: in the list, open the actions menu of the overdue invoice and click Apply late fee; the charge is created immediately.
  2. Online payment: connect Stripe in Integrations and share the payment link or the invoice portal with the client.
