Dashboard
The dashboard is the first screen you see when opening Frihet. It shows your business's financial status in real-time: revenue, expenses, trends, forecasts, and action suggestions. Discover all Frihet's features.
Key KPIs
Four key indicators are displayed at the top of the dashboard:
| KPI | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Monthly Revenue | Total invoiced and collected in the current month, with percentage variation compared to the previous month |
| Monthly Expenses | Total registered expenses, with comparison to the previous month |
| Net Profit | Revenue minus expenses for the current month |
| Monthly Goal | Progress bar towards the revenue goal configured in Settings |
Each KPI includes a trend arrow indicating whether the value has increased or decreased compared to the previous period.
Business Health Metrics
Three additional metrics offering a deeper insight into business activity:
- Active Clients — Number of clients with at least one invoice paid in the last 90 days. Includes trend compared to the previous period.
- Average Revenue per Client — Monthly revenue divided by the number of clients invoiced that month. Allows detecting if you are invoicing more per client or diluting the average ticket.
- Retention Rate — Percentage of last month's clients who generated at least one paid invoice in the current month. A high rate indicates stable business relationships.
To view the financial details per client (invoiced, pending, history), click on the client's name or navigate to Client Details.
Revenue vs. Expense Chart
Bar chart showing the last 12 months of financial activity:
- Green bars — Monthly revenue
- Red bars — Monthly expenses
- Tooltip — Hovering over any bar shows the exact amount with currency formatting
The chart automatically updates with each collected invoice or registered expense.
Revenue Forecast
Extends the revenue chart with a 3-month projection based on historical data:
- The calculation uses the average of the last 6 months of revenue as a base
- Pending invoices are added to the first forecast month with a 70% probability factor
- Forecast bars are shown with translucent fill and a dashed border to distinguish them from actual data
The forecast only appears if at least 3 months of historical data exist. It does not replace formal financial planning but helps anticipate trends.
Expense Breakdown by Category
Donut chart showing the distribution of current month's expenses grouped by category:
| Category | Color |
|---|---|
| Office Supplies | Blue |
| Software and Subscriptions | Violet |
| Professional Services | Orange |
| Travel and Commuting | Green |
| Marketing and Advertising | Pink |
| Utilities | Yellow |
| Insurance | Grey |
| Other | Light Grey |
The legend shows the name of each category, its color, and its percentage of total expenses. Uncategorized expenses appear as "Other".
Smart Suggestions
The dashboard analyzes your activity and shows up to 4 suggestions ordered by priority:
| Suggestion | Priority | When it appears |
|---|---|---|
| Overdue Invoices | High | There are invoices with a past due date. Shows the total pending amount. |
| No Invoices This Month | Medium | You have not issued any invoices in the current month. Suggests creating one. |
| Revenue Goal Behind Schedule | Medium | Monthly revenue is below the pace needed to reach the goal. |
| Inactive Clients (+90 days) | Medium | There are clients who have not received an invoice in more than 90 days. Suggests contacting them. |
| Uncategorized Expenses | Medium | There are registered expenses without an assigned category. |
High priority suggestions appear first. If more than 4 are active, the most relevant ones are shown.
Overdue Invoices
Dedicated widget listing all invoices whose due date has passed without being marked as collected:
- Shows invoice number, client, amount, and days overdue
- Each entry links directly to the invoice to review it or send a reminder
- The total pending amount is shown in the widget header
Dashboard Integrations
If you have integrations configured, the dashboard includes additional widgets:
- Revolut Balance — Shows the current balance of your connected Revolut account. Requires having configured the Revolut integration.
- Quick Links — Quick links to recommended integrations you haven't connected yet (bank, payment gateway, productivity tools)
Quick Shortcuts
At the bottom of the dashboard are four quick creation buttons:
- New Invoice — Opens the invoice form
- New Expense — Opens the expense form
- New Quote — Opens the quote form
- New Client — Opens the client form
These shortcuts are also accessible from any screen with Alt+N and by selecting the document type.
