# Notes and Activities

Each client record includes a complete history of interactions and an internal notes system. Everything is chronologically logged so you never lose context.

## Activity Timeline

Frihet automatically logs every relevant client event:

- **Invoice created**, sent, collected, or overdue
- **Quote created**, accepted, or rejected
- **Expense logged** linked to the client
- **Status change** in the sales pipeline
- **Client created**

The timeline groups entries by date: **today**, **this week**, and **this month**. You don't need to do anything — every action on the client generates an automatic entry.

## Manual Activities

In addition to automatic logging, you can manually log interactions from the client's **Activity** tab:

- **Call**: Log a phone call with optional description
- **Meeting**: Log a meeting with optional description

Use the buttons at the bottom of the Activity tab to add an entry.

## Notes

Notes are internal comments linked to the client. They are never visible to the client.

### Create Note

1. Open the client record and go to the **Notes** tab
2. Type in the text area
3. Click **Save** or press **Cmd+Enter**

Each note automatically generates an entry in the activity timeline.

### Edit Note

Hover over the note and click the **pencil icon**.

### Delete Note

Hover over the note and click the **trash can icon**.

## Tips

- Use notes for internal context: "Interested in annual plan", "Prefers email over phone", "Contact after March 15".
- The activity timeline answers the key question: **when was the last time we interacted with this client?**
- Combine notes + manual activities to have a mini-CRM within each client record.
